Omeyocan Dance Company
Saturday, February 09, 2013 11 am–noon
The Omeyocan Dance Company exists to celebrate Mexico's colorful cultural history and to share it with others. The company seeks to enrich its audiences with a greater appreciation and an enhanced cultural awareness of Mexico's storied past and vivid traditions. This performance will feature authentic dances, costumes and music while entertaining and educating the audience.
The museum will present this program in conjunction with the Dane County Regional Airport exhibition, "Wisconsin Folks: Masters of Tradition," organized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Tandem Press and the Wisconsin Arts Board. The exhibit, which runs through March 2013, highlights the Arts Board's Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.
